My Review

A mafia romance with a dark storyline.  I have to say I like the Vitale family! 

Nico is part of the Vitale family, he is a sweet man but only fair to say he has a dark side!

Selina/Lina is a girl that caught Nico's heart years ago when his family was helping her.

The story could have triggers for some people, it deals with trafficking and abuse.  I'm glad the author took the time to include therapy for Lina.  It's a book so she does move forward quicker than a real abuse survivor would.  

This book is more than the dark side, the romance, it's sweet, and Nico is caring and thoughtful.  There's chemistry between them and you know it's only a matter of time until it gets hotter.

I enjoyed this mafia romance and look forward to more in this series.

My Review

Another heartwarming read from this author. This could be classed as a second-chance romance in a way as Benjamin and Lynn had a one-night stand a couple of years ago. Suddenly they're thrown together again through work! Benjamin is the coach of the junior hockey team and Lynn works for the ice rink so there's no avoiding each other. Lynn's life has changed since their night together and she's a single mum so her son comes first. It is obvious there's still an attraction between these two and the story moves along nicely. Life and work are always distractions to everyone's love life and they're guaranteed to be in books! The characters are engaging and realistic, and the setting is familiar if you've read this author's work before. An enjoyable few hours spent visiting Prince George and getting to know Benjamin and Lynn and watching them fall in love. <3

My Review

There are some authors you just have to read, Anna Bloom is one of mine. I just love her writing and characters. Her characters are real, and flawed, and draw you in along with the storylines.

Some Kind of Love is a second-chance romance. It has lots of feels in it ❤️.

The story fluctuates from the present to throwbacks to Amber at 18 and Freddy at 20, and it took me right back to falling in love, yep teenage love vibes.

I loved the teenage love, but the grown-up passion and pull of Freddy and Amber was even better.

Life has ups and downs and issues that need dealing with like a husband you've separated from and don't love, an uprooted son, and a parent with dementia.

I was rooting for these two, Freddy was so caring, patient, and sexy, with a touch of bad boy. Basically a dreamboat of a book boyfriend.

The ending of the book was perfect, then there was an epilogue and the ending of that made my heart swell and smile too!

My Review

That was a fun and steamy read. I haven't read a fake fiance story for a while and this one was entertaining.

Sam and Holly both have a need, so a marriage of convenience is no bad thing, and to help things along they have chemistry.

The Wylde family couldn't be better named, they are wild. Nanna was a character.

Their story actually made me tear up, along with steam up at times.

A good read.

My Review

I was pulled into this story early on and loved the characters and setting.

First of all, it's set in Edinburgh, a place I've visited a few times so I know some of the places the author talks about and with the descriptions, I was almost there again!

Fin, what's not to like, he's an all-around good guy, yes he is a successful lawyer that comes from money, but he has many layers that you'll love discovering.

Star is a unique character, with pink hair, and tattoos but surprisingly quite reserved.

I found the two of them together a wonderful cocktail, they really had a pull.

One to add to your TBR if you like a hot Scots Man and opposites attract.

My Review

I was lucky enough to get an early copy of Secrets Under the Covers by Brenda Margriet which is one of the stories featured in this anthology.

50+ with libido's ❤️🔥

Ok, there's more to this story than libido's, but it's refreshing to read about a menopausal woman having a sex drive!

Nathan has been a friend and neighbour for years, both helping each other through the loss of their spouses. Helen works at a tattoo shop, she's a confident and sociable lady and they get on well, that is until Nathan notices she seems off, and then it gets interesting.

This could be described as the girl next door, or friends to lovers. Whatever genre you put it in it's a romance that I devoured in one sitting.

I absolutely loved this book.  It was exciting, fun, passionate with a good dose of danger and peril.

Fenix is a delicious incubus, he's dealing with a yearning to be with his mate but is unable to be with her.  I really liked him and his love for Evelyn.

Evelyn is living a lie and I wanted her to realise this fact sooner than she did but in the flow of the story it added to the passion build-up!

So basically there is a curse to break and along with that a whole lot more story to pull you in.  I enjoyed Rosalind and Vail being in this story, their relationship is cute, but a balancing act! Archer, well he was an intriguing character.

This was a great installment in one of my favorite PNR series, bring on the next book.

I feel all warm and fuzzy after finishing the latest coupling story set on Skye. ❤️

Caitlin is a single mother to a teenager, bakery owner, and active member of the Skye community. She's decided it's time to look for love.

Caitlin's journey is full of friendships, humour, and drama.

Let's talk men, there's Lyle, Bram, and Archie - I liked two of them, loved one of them, and one of them well you'll see when you read it.

Another comforting, entertaining read from this series.

Skye is still on my must-visit list and ill be visiting again through this series hopefully.

My Review

This is book 2 in a book duet and it's a great conclusion to Alex and Kates's story. 

The story starts where the previous book with Kate being whisked off to Russia for safety. 

I like a mafia-style book occasionally and Alex isn't exactly mafia but he's not exactly clean either! 

Alex tried to care for and protect Kate in his luxurious home but let's face it she was basically a prisoner. His intentions may have been good but why would an independent strong woman put up with that. So I was happy she kicked off and got him to loosen up a bit, as I missed the suave man I met in book 1. 

Let's talk heat, wow there's a lot of hot sex, not BDSM but Alex was definitely dominant in the bedroom. I wasn't so keen on the car scene as it was non-con, but it is a darker romance. 

I enjoyed this conclusion and was happy with the ending.

This book drew me in straight away, I love it when the first meet isn't perfect and a moody Caleb had me intrigued. The fact it's a hot neighbour story just made it better!

Luca is a wonderful character, she's her own woman and confident enough to make a move!

When you add in Christmas and Owen (Caleb's son) it's a perfect seasonal read but just as easy to read in the summer.

Loved it.

My Review

An exciting and intriguing new PNR series.

Oh I liked this one, the start was intriguing, I then took to the characters and was hooked.

We have a woman called Nova who has a mission to do, but no memory of why. Then there's Roman a Lycanthrope who is cursed to serve the crown or suffer. These two collide at the start of the story.

This is book 1 in a series, there's enough back story so you have an understanding of their world, the author fits worldbuilding in along the storyline so it doesn't feel like an information overload.

I really liked the storyline, there's a mystery, action, preternatural creatures, and romance. I liked how they are lycans are, not werewolves. The story gets very hectic near the end, but I kept up and enjoyed it.

The pull between Roman and Nova was there along with emotion, I even teared up a little!

Flynn, Evie, Dom, and Antonia are some of the other characters and I liked them all, the author makes you want to know more about them.

Looking forward to the next book, will it be Flynn's story or just a continuous story. I'm hoping for Flynn's story!

My Review

The last of the Inferno Rising series and it's a hot read in lots of ways! This book features Angelika the last unmated phoenix and Airk a white dragon shifter that cant shift. I have to admit I called Airk Eric in my head!

The fight is reaching a head and everyone is in danger and all the mated phoenix and dragons are coming together to fight the baddie. Angelika decides she and Airk should Mate to help the battle.

Airk is very standoffish to begin with. Angelika isn't giving in she can see how good they could be together. The battle we know is coming and we can almost guarantee Angelika will get her wish with Airk BUT oh my we have to wait a while - Airks defenses need some breaking down.

Along with the fighting and some unexpected occurrences we get to hear from the previous main characters.

The epilogue was wonderful and completed the series perfectly.

My Review

Emmy and Dwight ❤️🤠

Cowboys, a ranch, and the great outdoors.

Emmy is on the run, she's not even safe in witness protection. Enter Dwight an ex-security man with a large ranch.

What I liked about this romance was the ease of the couple's friendship which develops into more as time goes on.

There is some drama in the story but not too much and if I'm honest I enjoyed learning a little more about Joe the baddie!

I think this is my favourite of DG cowboy books, easy read and enjoyable.

My Review

This is a cute and clean romance, but there's still want and desire between our couple.

Jake he lives the high life, clean freak with a few issues - he had an air of a certain Mr Grey to me. I liked him though.

Anna is down on her luck when she first meets Jake and it obvious his not impressed.

Spending time together he soon realises his first impression was wrong. Anna is a warm and caring person, guarded, yes but so is Jake so walls need to tumble.

There's no major angst, it's an easy read set mainly in cute a welcoming village.

Perfect sunny afternoon read, or cosy sofa read.
