Book 1: Raven's Blood
Following the death of her wood nymph mother at the hands of vampires, Raven worked hard to build a life for herself in one of the few remaining human settlements. Her life takes a frightening turn when she finds herself an unwilling guest in a vampire settlement, but things are not anything like she expected them to be. Still, she cannot help but feel that her attraction to the vampire leader is a betrayal to her mother’s memory and her human friends.
From the moment Connor first laid eyes on Raven she has thrown his entire world off-balance. In order to prove his strength as a leader, he has no choice but to take her up on her offer to trade her freedom for that of her human friends. Having begun his life as a slave, he has no interest in keeping the wood nymph captive. As a man, he has no desire to feel this overwhelming attraction to a woman who hates him and his kind.
As Raven spends more time with the vampires, her feelings for Connor grow even stronger and Connor finds that she may be the one thing he cannot live without. Unfortunately, a new danger emerges that could threaten the survival of vampires and humans alike. As Connor struggles to unravel the mystery of the attacks from a new species of vampire, a madman will go to any lengths to get Raven’s blood.
MY REVIEW
This book started with big time jumps and I was like, what's going on. I soon realised it was just explaining the history and soon settled into real-time. I have to admit i had a hard time putting this book down, I loved the characthers and story.
This book is a post-apocalyptic book, I think that's the best way of describing it! There are a few factions in this book, humans, born vampires, turned vampires and nymphs. These vamps are not your normal vamps, they were man made a couple centuries ago.
Connor is the leader of the born vampires, his bossy, moody and stubborn and runs a settlement where they live there life's just like humans. Raven is a wood nymph and needs lots of sex and to be near nature to survive, she's a very talented and spirited characther, she lives in the human settlement.
One day their paths cross and they are both forced into a situation they never imagined. What a couple they make, I loved reading their relationship develop. It wasn't an easy ride both are strong willed, raven just speaks her mind which is amusing at times. Connors relationship with the other vamps is very strong but they all find his predicament amusing.
I really liked all the characthers - except the baddies! All were very real, if I had to pick another couple of fave characthers from the book it would be Jack and Muriel, they were adorable.
If you are looking for a different take on vampires this is a great read, it's full of developing relationships, action, sex and a few surprises and twists along the way.
Recommended to all PNR fans.
How to rate this book.... I sometimes think I give 5 stars to much, but I can't fault this book, it had everything I needed and I did not want to put it down. Soooo Five strong stars from me.

I loved Ravens Blood the first book in this series, so was excited to be asked to review book 2, about Simon and Layla.
Layla moved to the vampire compound with some other humans after Raven mated Connor.
Layla has settled well into her new world and made friends with the vampires, she is drawn towards Simon, unfortunately he sees her as a friend only.....or does he?
I really enjoyed reading how their relationship developed, it was amusing at times how they played around each other. When they finally admitted and acted on everything they'd held back - they were smoking hot together ����
What made this book even better is that we get to watch other people's relationships develop along the way, without taking the story away from Simon and Layla.
There's plenty of action too and a very interesting trio is introduced which I'd be happy to see more of.

The Moon Virus, that's were this all started and this series was good from the start but now I know the characthers it's even better. This is Ian's story, being honest he wasn't one of my favourites in the first book, but Cassandra has weaved her magic, took us into Ian's past, heart and possible future and I will say his not perfect and occasionally you will want to give him a slap, but he will warm your heart and you'll want him to have a happy ever after. Kyleigh, she's a fabulous characther her job is not pleasant and she has to deal with all that goes with that, until it's Ian's turn, she then makes a life changing decision that will affect more than her! I found these two were perfect for each other, but of course wanna be couples in books never talk enough about the things they should, that would be too easy lol. They do talk lots and the dialogue between Ian and Kyleigh is entertaining. Ian is well known for being a little grumpy, Mitchell his adopted son has bought some fun back to his life, if he lets Kyleigh in he could have some sparkle too......I really like how all the other characthers take a small background part in the story, and because they know Ian well, the banter they share is amusing. Talking characthers I'm loving Cam and Zane the shifters, and the interesting unanswered as of yet story development.All in all a great read you'll really enjoy, full of paranormal of all species, a romance with drama and a little suspense mixed in for good measure. MY REVIEW
This series is getting better and better, we learn more about the characters and the storyline takes major plot changes - I love it.
This is Danny's book, it's taken him quite a bit to get used to living with vampires, he witnessed his dad slaughtered by vampires at a young age.
Quinn is a half breed, she is a lynx shifter or should become one on her 27th birthday, she has lots of questions about her situation so goes looking for Layla, she doesn't find Layla but does run into Danny and wakes up in his bed.....
When these two meet up again things have changed a lot, Danny is uncomfortable with his situation and takes the offer of temporary accommodation in the woods.
Their story/romance is mixed in with lots of other things going on in the communities, so we get all our favourite characthers getting a part.
I really like the shifter community, I think my favourite is Zane, there's something about him, always touching, whether male or female, I wonder if he may find a male companion at times???
Quinn and Danny make an interesting couple, they're both strong and want control, they both have to learn about being a couple. One place they are fine is in the bedroom, they're hot and very active and in agreement in that area.
I loved how this book finishes, it took me by surprise I have to say, but makes me want more asap.
