My Review

If love could cure cancer it would be fabulous.

This book starts with pysch Tori befriending a terminal patient - so you know it's not gonna be fun and frolics. There's a lot of illness, pain and so many emotions for the characters, let alone us the readers!

Will is the patient, a handsome young man with green eyes, a kind personality when he lets you in, he's very stubborn too.

Tori is a strong woman, to befriend someone who is dying must be so hard and I know a few people who do it for real through volunteering at the hospital myself.

It's not all pain and sickness, the developing friendship was beautiful.

I didn't know how this would end and I'm relieved a touch but scared of what awaits in part 2 of this duet.

My Review

Some books can be demolished in one sitting, but some need to be cherished and have time taken to absorb the love, this is one of them. Roth and Laurel have such an easy love, they are Ying and Yang and perfect together. Laurel is a quirky lady introduced to Roth by a friend, a friend you'd be thankful to forever. Roth made me swoon many times. This book destroyed me, I sobbed.... It's beyond heartbreaking but amidst all the pain there is love, devotion, and adventure and it's beautiful. To be honest I was doing well just the odd tear and glassy-eyed in parts but then a couple of simple lines threw me over the waterfall. Then I pulled myself together and continued Roth and Laurels time stamped journey, only to hear 'I want to see my mother'.... Floodgates opened again. To be honest they didn't stop for a while.... This book has stayed with me for days, reading it felt like I was watching a film, omg god this would make an amazing film. This book is beautiful, painful, heartbreaking, raw, real, and makes you realise what's important. If you like a deep and moving story, I highly recommend it to you. Looking for a Book Hangover? Look no further pick up The Last Kiss. I couldn't move on to a new book so re-read this!

A beautiful, emotional, and tragic love story.

My heart is in recovery after reading this book. It broke me, made me smile, and was definitely heartwarming.

Jules is amazing and so strong, I also loved Liv the sister and the whirlwind of a niece that reminded me of my daughter. Henri, oui the man of the book, swoon-worthy yes, sexy, business owner, the list could go on!

The chemistry between Henri and Jules is literally bouncing off the pages, I was totally pulled in, lapping up every moment they shared

There were many times I had to dry my eyes before continuing, but I loved this heartbreaking romance.

This is a book that will take you on a fulfilling emotional journey.

I stayed up late last night to finish this book and how I loved it. I won't lie, its an emotional read, just read the book description! My heart broke for Dani, her grief came through the pages and made me feel so much.

Dani has lost her hubby and daughter in one swoop, her life is over in one way. She needs an outlet, she can't speak as she has lost her voice through the shock of her loss, so she writes a letter to Trey - her hubby and puts in a bottle on the beach. She is shocked to receive a response.

The letters are not from Trey, they're from someone who understands her pain and wants to help - they are touching and heartbreaking, but have an uplifting edge to them too. Sometimes we need someone who is not family to open up to and that is true for Dani and her letters help her so much.

You can think well how can there be romance in a book about heartbreak, but oh there is, it creeps up on you and it's wonderful and heartwarming.

This book takes you through so much. Dani's journey is not an easy one and some of the twists left me with my mouth gaping, but I loved this book.

A must-read for fans of an emotional read.
