Running a dating agency can be a killer…

Shelley Linley is sick of sickos. Yet another prankster has applied to her dating agency. This one says he’s a vampire and he wants Shelley to help him find a wife.

Meeting him for a second interview against all her better judgement, Shelley discovers that he has no clue about women. A shame because he’s super-hot, amusing, and has a lot of single friends he could recommend her struggling business to, even if he does say they’re werewolves and demons. She has to help him, even if he’s crazy.

If she can ignore his delusions, she’s sure she can help him meet someone. But when death threats start arriving on her doorstep, Shelley’s not sure she’s cut out for the job…then her dating algorithm states she’s his ideal partner. Now she’s not sure if she should take the risk for love, or run like hell.

Unloved

My name is Cassidy Porter...

My father, Paul Isaac Porter, was executed twenty years ago for the brutal murder of twelve innocent girls.

Though I was only eight-years-old at the time, I am aware - every day of my life - that I am his child, his only son.

To protect the world from the poison in my veins, I live a quiet life, off the grid, away from humanity.

I promised myself, and my mother, not to infect innocent lives with the darkness that swirls within me, waiting to make itself known.

It's a promise I would have kept...if Brynn Cadogan hadn't stumbled into my life.

Now I exist between heaven and hell: falling for a woman who wants to love me, while all along reminding myself that I must remain...

Unloved.

Nineteen Letters
by Jodi Perry

Braxton

Nineteen. There’s something about that number; it not only brought us together, bonding us forever, it also played a hand in tearing us apart.

The nineteenth of January 1996. I’ll never forget it. It was the day we met. I was seven and she was six. It was the day she moved in next door, and the day I developed my first crush on a girl.

Exactly nineteen years later, all my dreams came true when she became my wife. She was the love of my life. My soul mate. My everything. The reason I looked forward to waking up every morning.

Then tragedy struck. Nineteen days after we married, she was in an accident that would change our lives forever. When she woke from her coma, she had no memory of me, of us, of the love we shared.

I was crushed. She was my air, and without her I couldn’t breathe.

The sparkle that once glistened her eyes when she looked at me was gone. To her, now, I was a stranger. I had not only lost my wife, I had lost my best friend.

But I refused to let this tragedy be the end of us. That’s when I started to write her letters, stories of our life. Of when we met. About the happier times, and everything we had experienced together.

What we had was far too beautiful to be forgotten.

Whispered Prayers of a Girl by Alex Grayson

Her whispered prayers break her...
At night, as she’s drifting off to sleep, I press my ear to the door and listen to her heart-wrenching pleas. Her words are agony to my healing heart, but I cherish the sound of them, for that’s the only time I ever hear my beautiful daughter speak. Since her father died two years ago, she’s grown quiet and withdrawn. Cat’s Valley was to be our new beginning, a place where my family and I can heal, but what we find there is so much more.

Scars mar his body. Pain has left him in pieces…
Four years ago, I lost the two things I cherished most in the world. They were ripped from my arms in the most painful and cruel way. Since then, I’ve kept to myself, preferring to stay away from the pitying looks and murmured rumors. Everything changed when she and her children barged into my life. It was an accident, and I don’t deserve them, but now that they’re here, I’m not sure I can let them go.

How We Fall by Melissa Toppen

It’s not always about how we fall- it’s about where we end up once we land.

I remember the very first time I laid eyes on Cole Lincoln. It still feels like yesterday when he stumbled into my life with his messy brown hair and dark eyes. Even though I was only ten years old at the time, I knew right then and there that he was going to change everything.

From that point on Cole and I were always together—inseparable—and I naively believed we’d be best friends forever. But forever didn’t last nearly as long as I expected.

We grew up and grew apart, life driving the distance between us, but my love for Cole never faltered. Even long after he moved away, leaving me and our little town behind, I still carried a piece of him with me every single day. Because Cole wasn’t just my childhood best friend- the boy who knew me better than anyone else in the whole world. He was also my first love- a part of my very core.

When a tragic death brings us face to face again after six years, every single memory comes rushing to the surface. Only this is not the boy I fell in love with all those years ago. The man before me is hardened, intimidating, and so damn sexy I practically melt when those dark eyes meet mine for the first time in six years.

And like the first time he walked into my life, I know with complete certainty that everything is about to change.

How We Fall is a STANDALONE Contemporary Romance.

Review Post - Survival Game (Men of London #9) by Susan Mac Nicol

Heartwarming, Immersing and Sexy

Survival Game (Men of London #9)

Since his true love died, paramedic Eric Kirby has been living a half life, but when he meets purple-haired Kyle Tripper, Eric's heart is jolted into a whole new rhythm.

HANDLE...

Kyle Tripper has led an interesting life. Currently the manager of London's famous Club Delish, he used to be a croupier extraordinaire in Las Vegas. But not everything in that life was so glamorous; his ex was a piece of work. Now gun-shy, Kyle hopes there is someone special out there for him, and secretly wishes it's luscious paramedic, Eric Kirby.

WITH CARE

Every day Eric Kirby goes through the motions. Yeah, he saves lives, and, sure, he makes a difference, but he doesn't feel it anymore - not since he lost his one true. But, when he meets wild, flamboyant Kyle Tripper and learns there's a skittish, apprehensive man beneath the bold façade, the best of Eric's protective nature kicks in, and opens his heart to a new love.

MY REVIEW

Kyle and Eric have both been damaged by life, one by an abusive partner the other through a partner dying - these things both take their toll on the characthers. I found the author dealt really well with the issues - no magic cure, just patience, and therapy!

I have read this authors work before but this is my first in this series, I took to the characrthers well, yes I would have known the backstory to some of the extra characthers if I had read the whole series but I had no trouble following the story.

The author writes so well and immerses you in her story.

This is a heartwarming story, that runs fairly smoothly just a few little bumps along the way in this warm romance.

3 words to describe this book - Heartwarming, Immersing and Sexy.

Double Alchemy by Susan Mac Nichol Blog Tour - Review - Excerpts - Giveaway - Teasers #MM #PNR #loveit

Double Alchemy
Release Date: March 24th 2014
BLURB
Powerful yet tormented modern warlock Quinn Fairmont must initiate the silver-eyed Cade Mairston into the world of witchfinders, Withinners, and what can happen when two men fall truly, madly, deeply in love.

THE WORLD IN SHADOW

In modern London there lurks a warlock, Quinn Fairmont. Dangerous, powerful, tortured, sharing his body with the soul of an ancient Welsh sorcerer, Quinn is never alone—and never wholly himself. He fights against all those who would exploit his kind. He takes pleasure where he can find it.

In the forest of Hampstead Heath, Quinn’s hometown, Cade Mairston appears to him like a waking dream. Lithe, lean and silver-eyed, he evokes feelings in Quinn unlike any other: lust with true affection, immediate and shocking. Cade is clearly more than he seems. And yet, if a man of the world, Cade is innocent. He knows nothing of warlocks, witchfinders or Withinners. He knows nothing of what he is, what he might be, or what he might feel. For him, the story is just beginning. Magyck, peril and passion await.

Double Alchemy Exclusive Excerpt

Quinn scowled as he rummaged through the giant wooden chest in his specially created
basement that contained his treasured library and most of his magyckal paraphernalia,
potions and spells. He’d bought this place on the heath especially because it had a huge
subterranean basement, large enough for him to store everything he’d accumulated in his
thirty-six years as a Warlock as well as Taliesin’s possessions, accumulated over the last fifteen
centuries.
It was no mean feat having the ability to store such exotic items as unicorn hair, dryad tears,
kairax root and thousands of other obscure items that Taliesin bought back from his travels.
Quinn applied the same method of preserving his Withinner’s treasures as he did his own very
precious and rare collection of books and artefacts.
The purpose-built library in the concealed basement was a hermetically sealed room, guarding
against such human risks such as improper lighting, airborne pollutants, insect infestations and
mould. Minimal human contact featured strongly in there too, with the only person able to enter
either of the rooms being Quinn or his Withinner and then only by a retinal scan. Quinn really
couldn’t afford to have anyone from the outside world find his Warlock treasure trove. The need
for secrecy was paramount. To reveal it could be disastrous.
He exclaimed in triumph when he found what he was looking for. He held up two small, green
vials, with ruby-coloured stoppers. Quinn hadn’t brought his reading glasses down to the basement
so he peered at the labels a little myopically. “Mirrabar Blood” read the description in Taliesin’s
incredibly flamboyant handwriting.
Quinn knew the Mirrabar to be a small, ice-cold-blooded being that dwelled in the fjord caves of
Norway. Once Quinn ingested this, it would cool his own blood down to a point where he at least
would be able to tolerate another Fey, at least for a short time. The lasting results had yet to be
proven but he hoped wryly it would work long enough for him to have a part-way intelligent
conversation with the delectable Cade Mairston without regressing to caveman mode.

My Review
If you're looking for a great MM and PNR read pick this up. Quinn and Cade are an amazing couple, they are sexy and share some great banter, they go through so much in this story and I loved every bit of it! Here's a brief recap when Quinn and Cade first see each other the attraction is magical literally! Quinn is a warlock, Cade believes he is human but Quinn quickly recognises him as fae, thank goodness they're both gay! In a way their more than a couple as Quinn has a withinner.......his withinner is his immortal life partner, a strong and powerful warlock, it's funny as when he talks to him it's like his crazy, you'd lock him up lol. His withinner isn't completely innocent though! So much goes on, I really enjoyed how Cade and Quinn's relationship developed along with the PNR side of the story that has many twists. This book grabs you and won't let you go, the writing and story flows easily and keeps you hooked, if you like books where you feel you personally know the main characters and feel all there emotions you will enjoy this book. Five sexy, lovable and magical stars **I was gifted a copy for an honest review**

Climax: Double Alchemy #2
Release Date: May 22nd 2014
BLURB
Powerful modern warlock Quinn Fairmont found ecstasy with the silver-eyed and not-quite-human Cade Mairston, but to know true happiness the pair must best both the shadow of a long-ago lover and an ancient enemy who seeks to destroy love, light and all they hold dear.

A BLINDING LIGHT

It begins with a Book of Shadows discovered by a London coven. The grimoire is as dangerous as it is rare, which is why it evokes modern-day warlock Quinn Fairmont’s desire. He collects objects of great power and beauty—like his lover, Cade Mairston.

Against all odds he and Cade found each other, but their perils have just begun. First is the ex-lover who once held Quinn in thrall. And, someone has been killing warlocks. Could it be one of his own kind? There are those too who would challenge Quinn’s power in their quest to overthrow him as Grand Master. Or is the danger something darker, something invoked inadvertently, rising from the shadows, building from the very inside of a man until it brings an end with a quick flash of light? Of the truth, the surface has only been scratched. Now Quinn and Cade must go deeper and find both answers and an end. They must learn what lurks in the hearts of men…and whether it seeks to love or destroy.

My Review
Quinn and Cade, Cade and Quinn <3 love these two!
When you put mm and paranormal together, for me you come up with something great. I really enjoyed getting away from reality with the paranormal side of this book.  At the same time it was a very grounded to human activities which was nice.
Obviously, this is book 2/2 of Double Alchemy so you really need to read book 1 first, which was fab.  This book starts with our couple happy, but trouble stirring in the warlock/witch world.
Cade and Quinn are dedicated to each other and they both show jealousy when people try to get between them, nothing's gonna come between these men though.
**Quinn showing jealousy in kitchen - loved it**
It's not as action-packed as book 1, but still as enjoyable as we get to watch a relationship develop and grow even more, don't get me wrong there's action, danger and heartbreaking moments that will tug at your heart strings.
Susan does a great job with the sex scenes, not every session is detailed some were just teased and left to our imagination.
If you love mm pick up this page turning book along with book 1 you won't be disappointed.
4.5 stars.

Bio

Susan Mac Nicol is a self- confessed bookaholic, an avid watcher of videos of sexy pole dancing men, geek, nerd and in love with her Smartphone. This little treasure is called ‘the boyfriend’ by her long suffering husband, who says if it vibrated, there’d be no need for him. Susan hasn’t had the heart to tell him there’s an app for that…

She is never happier than when sitting in the confines of her living room/study/on a cold station platform scribbling down words and making two men fall in love. She is a romantic at heart and believes that everything happens (for the most part) for a reason. She likes to think of herself as a ‘half full’ kinda gal, although sometimes that philosophy is sorely tested.
Lover of walks in the forest, theatre productions, dabbling her toes in the cold North Sea and the vibrant city of London where you can experience all four seasons in a day , she is a hater of pantomime (so please don’t tar and feather her), duplicitous people, bigotry and self-righteous idiots.
In an ideal world, Susan Mac Nicol would be Queen of England and banish all the bad people to the Never Never Lands of Wherever -Who Cares. As that’s never going to happen, she contents herself with writing her HEA stories and pretending, that just for a little while, good things happen to good people.
