Lost In Between Review

K L Kreig is one of my go-to authors so was excited to read her latest book.

This book is about Willow and Shaw, Willow is a woman trying to support her mother and to do that she works hard, she even does escort work to make ends meet that's how she meets Shaw. Shaw Mercer is a man with money, a well-known playboy, always in the press with a girl on his arm.

Shaw has a dilemma he needs a girlfriend to help his dad's re-election campaign, he doesn't want the bother of a girlfriend, so decides it's best to hire a girlfriend. 

Shaw and Willow are both strong personalities and they are great together - they have chemistry and they look a beautiful couple in my head. 

I love it when couples have a plan and forget that spending lots of time together with a person you really fancy is a dangerous game, it's such fun reading them falling for each other and crossing barriers that they said they wouldn't.

I have to say though this is a slow-burning book, the characters are developed well before the relationship/arrangement starts. The book may not move as swiftly as others by this author but with the superb writing you still want to keep turning pages as the story and twists unfold.

I saw a teaser saying 'Fifty shades meets Pretty Woman' and I have to say I most definitely got that vibe too, and I have to be honest, what a perfect combination!

This is a 2 part book so don't expect an HEA at the end, in fact you will be going 'what', 'surely not', 'please no' and yes we have to wait until May for part 2, at least it isn't that long!

Found Underneath Review

Found Underneath is part 2 of the Finding Me Duet and features Shaw and Willow and is a deep and sexy love story.

Shaw and Willow got to know each other in an unconventional way in part 1, but that was then, it's obviously more than an arrangement by the end of book 1. 

This is not a quick read and there is a reason for that, the author likes her characthers well developed and likes to put them through a journey and a half, and I love that. <3

Shaw is rich but you don't get the millionaire feel from him, playboy background - yes, alpha male - yes and dominant in the bedroom - yes again! Okay there is a private jet but money isn't thrown around and I liked that. I love a millionaire/billionaire and all the glitz that goes with it but let's be honest it's more about the person and their personality.

Willow has had a tough time in the past, but she isn't a tortured soul - yes she keeps herself protected and does what needs to be done to survive and care for her mum. She is no push over, she has a strong side, a mushy side and most definitely a sexy side and doesn't mind being lorded over in the bedroom by the sexy and charismatic Shaw - Who would mind? Not me!!

One small part of the story that has stuck with me for some reason is the Waffles and jam scene, it was very intimate.

I was hooked by this book and enjoyed all the twists and turns and even the frustrating bits where I wanted to bang their heads together and tell them to sort it out.

I discovered K L Kreig through her PNR books which are amazing but OMG she writes amazing sexy contemporary romance too.

Recommended read.
