synopsis
Lily-May, wife of Detective Murray and mother to beautiful Callie, tragically goes missing, with her daughter witnessing the ordeal, but unable to save her mother from the captor's grip. Will Callie be able to live with herself?
A mystery as to where she is or how she got there and to stay alive, Lily begins a new life pretending to be someone else. Will she ever be found, or will her captor carry out the unthinkable when he learns her true identity?
Back home, Lily's husband and daughter have been left to pick up the pieces. While both suffer immeasurable pain and emptiness, Callie believes she has seen her mother on a number of occasions but has been too scared to tell her dad who, unbeknownst to her, has witnessed his own sightings of this same woman.
Has Lily returned, or is it her ghost back to haunt her daughter and husband?

MY REVIEW

This book caused my heart to race almost all the way through, I don't normally read tense books. I did enjoy this book though and had to get to end before sleeping!

Lilly has been kidnapped, she doesn't understand why, the man thinks she's someone else. She does what she has to to survive hoping it won't be long until she is found.

The books delves into and tells the story from many perspectives, the captor, the hostage, the husband and the daughter, it also goes from past to present - yes that is a lot to keep up with but it does work.

It's one of those books you really can't say much about without spoiling it.

I enjoyed the book and I am interested in reading book 2 as the author knows how to tell a story.

I had a couple of issues, the witness taking so long to come forward and captors sudden clarity.

So yes I enjoyed this book and recommend it, I would be interested to know if the small things that bothered me were just me.

This can be read as a standalone, but there is a follow on book if you want to see where things go.
