Synopsis
One key, one door, one man, one leap.
Alison Wescot inherited the antique store the day her mother died. It was nothing she wanted, but she couldn’t part with it. The antiques inside were all she had left of her mother. She thought she knew every piece in the store, until one day she discovered a box with a key inside, along with a letter from her mother. A key to a door she never knew existed.
Lucas Azure is the leader of the kingdom’s elite guard, a group of men whose sole purpose was to protect their territory and people. The youngest of the king’s four children, he was also the deadliest. The men in his group followed him faithfully, never questioning his orders. When Alison appeared, he knew he had to protect her at all costs.
The day Alison walked through the door, her recurring dream became a reality. The man who always remained a mystery was standing before her. There were dragons flying overhead and a castle in the distance. She was now in the Azure Kingdom.

MY REVIEW

Alison is your normal woman, living in the USA trying to get on with life. She has recently lost her mum. She is very likeable and a realistic characther and says lots of things I would if I was put in her situation. Her situation is, she has used a key her deceased mother told her about and found herself in another reality where dragons are flying in the sky, the colour Azure is popular and a hot man has caught her eye.

Lucas, is a leader of his army and a prince, his the youngest of four, being young doesn't make him soft - he knows how to handle himself. He also rides a dragon. He has dreamt of a particular woman for so long, then she's there in his kingdom!

Alison and Lucas know each other from their dreams but don't really know one another, but they have a connection to build on. I loved how they didn't jump straight into a heavy all in relationship, they shared a bed to sleep in but took the time required to bond on another level.

A budding relationship is sweet but there's more to Alison, she just happens to be the enemies daughter and they want her back.

The Azure family are warm and friendly and have some surprises to share too. The Pine family have a harder edge to them and seem to want confrontation.

This is a good book, I wasn't sure at the beginning if I was going to like the story but the more I read the more I liked and cared about Alison and Lucas getting there happy ever after.

Enjoyable story from the Skeleton key series.

*I received an arc in return for an honest unbiased review.
